On November 1 and 2, 2019, Dr. Shyam Sundar Khadka attended the workshop on Western Region Campus (WRC) for developing the curriculum for Rock and Tunnel Engineering Graduate Program. With the recent developments in tunnels and underground space, the country needs skilled manpower for its construction. With the aim of generating such man power within the country, Government has taken an initiative by introducing Tunnel Engineering in the Graduate level study. For developing the curriculum for the study, two day workshop had been organized in WRC, Pokhara. Dr. Khadka from Kathmandu University along with other experts, national and international, in the field had been invited for the purpose. The program is planned to be implemented from the next session (Bhaishak, 2077).
