Assistant Professor, Dr. Shyam Sundar Khadka has been appointed as the Acting Head of the Department of Civil Engineering effective from August 17, 2021 (Bhadra 01, 2078). Dean of School of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Manish Pokharel handed him the appointment letter on August 31, 2021 (Bhadra 15, 2078).
He had been serving the Department of Civil Engineering since the inception of the department in 2009. Furthermore, he served Kathmandu University in the capacity of Researcher, Lecturer, and Assistant Professor. He was the Associate Director of the Student Welfare Directorate at KU, prior to the appointment of Acting HoD.
